But i wonder, you are using mythtv 0.17 with the cx88 driver and it's not seg-faulting ?

What i don't understand is that on the mandrake it almost work from

*shrug*, just saying what I did to get mine working... sorry it's not the equivlant of saying what you need to do to get yours working. (Some of it may apply)

as for the Segmentation fault, I have no clue how to fix that.
[MythTV 0.16 segfaulted with the MSI card as well, something to do
with problems using the CX88 drivers.  You probably got yourself 0.17
though].

using Linux From Scratch [latest unstable].
