Looks like you were right... I dumped the database and found this:

  : INSERT INTO `cardinput` VALUES (1,1,1,'Television','',0,'N','','26',1,
  :   NULL,NULL,11700000,10600000,9750000);
  : INSERT INTO `cardinput` VALUES (2,1,1,'Tuner 0','',0,'N','','25',1,
  :   NULL,NULL,11700000,10600000,9750000);

And looking at the logs I also saw this:

  : grumpy:/var/log/mythtv# grep Television *
  : mythbackend.log.1:2005-02-18 11:59:31.844 ChannelBase: Could not find
input: Television on card when setting channel 38
  : mythbackend.log.1:2005-02-18 19:29:31.596 ChannelBase: Could not find
input: Television on card when setting channel 5
  : mythbackend.log.1:2005-02-18 20:00:02.581 ChannelBase: Could not find
input: Television on card when setting channel 7
  : ...

So I deleted the Television entry and updated the 'Tunder 0' cardinputid
to 1, and it just worked fine ;).

I _did_ have an old vanilla Huappauge card in here before the PVR-250 so
it's possible the 'Television' cardinput stuck around.
