In order to get the new HD3000 DVB drivers to work properly, I added the
following lines to /etc/devfsd.conf
# DVB permissions
REGISTER ^dvb/adapter[0-9]+/[^/]+$ PERMISSIONS root.video 0755
REGISTER ^dvb/adapter([0-9]+)/([^/0-9]*)[0-9]+$ CFUNCTION
GLOBAL mksymlink /dev/$devname ost/\2\1
UNREGISTER ^dvb/adapter([0-9]+)/([^/0-9]*)[0-9]+$ CFUNCTION
GLOBAL unlink
ost/\2\1
Once this was done, MythTV worked like a charm (well, kind of). Suggest
double checking after reboot by looking at files using ls -lR /dev/dvb/*.
I was able to set the HD board in myth setup, acquire terrestrial channels,
and watch one or two HD channels with Mythfrontend. Video was a bit choppy,
but at least I am getting closer.
