Well, do 'the powers that be' still not want to sign this list up to gmane?

Max.

Due to the huge amount of spam posters to this list received when some idiot signed the list up for gmane without my approval, these lists aren't allowed to be archived on gmane.

I have read the archives, and it would seem in that instance that the
lists were subscribed without any of the sensible anti-spam measures.
Would it be possible to try again, but this time with all the sensible
defensive stuff switched on?

I use gmane for several other lists, and have found it works very well,
and the other lists are spam free. I would dearly like to be able to use
it for the myth lists too. From comments by many other people here I'm
sure it would be very well received.

The amount of traffic on the myth lists (esp. users) is getting to the
stage where even a threaded mail program isn't enough, a news reader
would be the ideal way to handle this traffic (with thread/poster
scoring, etc).

Based on the subscribe form (http://gmane.org/subscribe.php) I am
suggesting 'Posting permissions' of 'Non-public, only allowed for list
members', 'Encrypt addresses' enabled, 'Spam tagging' enabled.

Obviously I'm not going to do anything without Isaac's approval, and
even then he may want to do it himself just to make sure.

Cheers,

Martin.
