I was having the problem where I would switch to live tv and get like a second of tv then black screen then menu....
This is what I did and it worked.... exit out of frontend.... run mythtvsetup.... choose yes to delete channel information.... rerun channell setup... then run mythfilldatabase Then I dropped the following into /etc/rc.local /sbin/rmmod ivtv /sbin/depmod -a /sbin/modprobe ivtv /sbin/modprobe lirc_i2c service lircd restart service mythbackend restart Now reboot the machine, cross your fingers and hopefully you will be watching Live TV.
