I don't use nfs either, but the file is there anyway; I figured MythTV
put it there and it would always exist in the directory (like the
Windows dontdelete.me files).  I thought you could check to see if that
file existed; if it exists, go ahead and delete whatever -- the volume
is mounted.  If it doesn't exist, say something polite like "can't find
recorded programs?" because the volume isn't mounted -- don't mess with
the database.

Is there a way to mount individual files (versus whole directories)?
