Thanks for the recommendation.  I have been working on it using the
attached computer monitor before trying to get it to work with a TV.  

In your previous message I assume you are using the A/V output connector
that splits ouput to composite video and three RCA female jacks.  

I have not tried that yet, was using the computers audio outputs. 
Should I use these other outputs?  

What I don't understand is why shows I recorded prior to the problem
have sound just fine but only livetv and new recordings have no sound? 
That seems like a messed up configuration on my part with mythtv.
