I am using the TVout from my PVR350 and that is working quite fine. Now I tried to do some finetuning to fit the TV picture best to my TV. Tried several chages to the modline until I found that IVTV has a built-in modeline, where I have no clue how to bypass it.
The problem isn't really that the modeline is fixed in ivtv, it's that the hardware registers for changing the size and position of the video signal on the 350 are not documented.
There was a thread here the other day from someone who had found the position register, but still didn't know how to control the size. Try searching the archives using the string "reg=0x6c".
