Yeah, I'm using an old 7500 AIW connected to a TV w/o a monitor. I had
to use the gatos stuff with a couple patches to get this working. I set
it up along time ago and have not upgraded the X server since so I'm
currently running XFree 4.3 something with the gatos "tv_out branch"
radeon driver patched to allow it to work w/o a monitor attached. If
you use the latest gatos stuff you may not need any patching. IFAIK
there is no way to get overscan to work which is slightly annoying but
otherwise it works pretty well.
