Let me chime in that what I said in previous threads about 0.16 has improved a fair bit of late. (I wasn't tracking the improvement as much because I had turned debug on). It now takes less of a machine. Of course, you don't want to have the bare minimum, because your machine may then have problems if other loads crop up, even niced loads like mythcommflag and transcoding. Plus in theory extra CPU would let you use the analog capture function of your pchdtv 3000 card as a spare tuner when not doing HD recordings on it, though this has turned out to be messier that people hoped because the two mechanisms are totally different, with different drivers, but use the same RF tuner.
