I was in the exact same situation as you yesterday.

I did manage to pull down a stream with the test_dvr program in
dvb-apps/test/test_dvb and then play it with mplayer.  This gave me
hope ;)

As the previous response said, this means you're running a mismatched
version of myth and the dvb drivers.  You need to build myth
with the correct headers (either 0.17 or CVS).
