First some details:
Myth 0.16 in Gentoo (single box front/backend)
PVR-350
Onboard Sound (ASUS A7V333 - CMedia Audio)

By following the many different HOWTO's I have been able to get my system
running to satisfaction with one notable exception, sound volume.

I am using the PVR-350 TV-out to send video to my TV over S-Video and
audio to the line-in of my onboard sound. I then route line-out of the
onboard sound to my receiver.

Playing music via xmms is just fine. I can set my receiver volume to say
30 and enjoy some tunes. If I then switch to my HDTV receiver (actual
STB) then the volume setting of 30 is again reasonable.

If I am watching TV through mythtv then I have to set my receiver volume
to about 50+ to be able to hear audio from across the room. Switching to
my HDTV receiver at that point causes severe ear damage while I scramble
around looking for the remote to turn down the receiver volume ;-)

I have used alsamixer to max out the volume of my line-in channel as well
as master and line-out. Is there some setting or capability of the
PVR-350 that is affecting this? If so, is there a way to adjust the
PVR-350 volume?

Jason
