I had this same issue when I first setup my Myth box earlier this week. FC3, .17, PVR250, using Jarod's guide. To fix the issue, I did the following three things. 1) In the settings, I changed /dev/dsp to ALSA:default (case sensitive I believe) 2) Opened Kmix and changed some of the settings there, including turning off 'Mute' 3) Disabled Arts Unfortunately, I did these all at once, rather than one at a time, so I'm not sure if a single step fixed the issue or if they were all required. Either way, it's been working fine now for several days. Garry
