Joel, can you elaborate on "edit your mythweb conf to use the myth:// url"? What exactly should this line look like?
If you're running pre-.17, there's a whole section in the config with instructions on what to do. If it's .17, it's all automagic and you don't need to do anything. The old config still exists if you want to override, though (for those who want to just have a file link in windows and don't need the myth:// for the directshow filters).
Do I need any other ports open besides 6543?
dunno about that one -- I think it's just the one port, though.
