Hi,

Still haven't gotten around to installing ATI's latest driver for my
Pundit-R to try and get better video performance (they still haven't got the
9100IGP TV-out sorted AFAICT) so I am using the great TV out support of the
PVR-350 card, but maybe 40-50% of the time when I am watching a recording
(just happened with a 30min DVB recording, typically happens with hour long
shows) the frontend will silently hang, so that further LIRC input has no
effect on playback etc.

The program that is being watched will play normally until the end of the
recording, then freeze. If I SSH into the machine and run top, the
mythfrontend process is using ~99% CPU time. If I kill it and restart it -
all is normal again and LIRC responds as normal.

Any ideas anyone? (system - Pundit-R, FC2, 2.6.10 kernel, mythsuite 0.16
from atrpms, lirc 0.7.0, ivtv: version 0.2.0 (rc3f))

It's quite a large PITA as the machine runs headless, and although I have
mapped the power button on the remote to start mythfrontend from KDE - when
the frontend hangs I currently don't have a way to completely kill it and
get back to the desktop (any working suggestions?)

Cheers,
Nick
