[linux newbie alert]
I have a VisionPlus VisionDTV TER card "powered by" Twinhan. I'm not entirely clear about the relationship, but guess I need a twinhan driver, and had emailed the company a few weeks back. They sent me a driver for a 2.4.x linux kernel, but I'm running FC3 with 2.6.10. According to www.linuxtv.org, twinhan withrew linux support some time ago, which makes me wonder why they emailed me a driver which they said "should work". I suspect I'm having problems at many hardware software levels. I think that mythtv is installed, but not configured. So 3 questions.
1. How do I query linux that the DTV is recognised.
2. How to find out if I have reception with or without mythtv.
3. How to ensure any problem is simply not because of mis-configuration. (ie. I need some way of working out whether the problem is the card, the software, or the antenna/aerial or some combination).
Because the coaxical cable is still some metres too short I won't get to try it out properly till tomorrow, so just want to see what does definitely work so far, and possibly find out if the old two pronged antenna picks up anything at all. Thanks for any help.
