Hello - Tried to upgrade to 0.17 and I have been out of
commission for a week - having major withdrawls.

Short story: I was running Mythtv 0.16 on FC1, using a wireless
PCMCIA card for connectivity. Upgrading to 0.17 required move to
FC3, which did not support the wireless card. Eventually got a
wireless card working by using ndiswrapper on a rebuilt
2.6.10-1.766_FC3 kernel without the CONFIG_4KSTACK option.

Now, however, since I have the custom kernel I cannot get the
IVTV drivers to load with modprobe. Current errors returned from
dmesg:

> ivtv: no version for "struct_module" found: kernel tainted.
> version magic '2.6.10-1.760_FC3 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.4'
should be '2.6.10-brennan 686 REGPARM gcc-3.4'

I seem to be in a catch-22: either I can use stock kernel and
get proper IVTV, alsa, etc from apt-get (without a working
wireless), or I can have the wireless working with the
non-4KSTACK kernel but cannot get the necessary drivers. Please help!
