Hi everybody, I am researching on achieving low latency in real time video streaming. Can anybody tell me, in MythTV employing Hauppauge PVR-350, what is the delay to display live video, i.e. delay from the point an event occurs to the point it is displayed (after MPEG compression and decompression) or just after writing the frame to a file (cat /dev/video0 > movie.mpg), i.e. the latency of the card?
In the documentation, its mentioned abt the CPU usage, etc.. but I couldn't find anywhere about the latency. Thanks, Sandeep Siroya Graduate Student, Computer Science, University of Southern California.
