I used 2.6.11-rc4 with ivtv-0.3.2e and todayâs Jarod Wilsonâs patch for tuner type 55 and tveeprom recognition.
I can watch TV and change channels using /dev/video1 and either tuner0 or tuner1 â However, /dev/video0 just gives me static â Here is a copy of the relevant dmesg log: Feb 27 09:14:49 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tveeprom: The eeprom says no radio is present, but the tuner type Feb 27 09:14:49 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tveeprom: tuner = Philips FQ1236A MK4 (idx = 92, type = 55) Feb 27 09:14:49 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tveeprom: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000) Feb 27 09:14:49 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tuner: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones Feb 27 09:14:49 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tuner: chip found at addr 0xc2 i2c-bus ivtv i2c driver #0 Feb 27 09:14:49 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: ivtv: i2c attach [client=(tuner unset),ok] Feb 27 09:14:59 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tuner: type set to 55 (Philips FQ1236A MK4) by ivtv i2c driver #0 Feb 27 09:14:59 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tveeprom: The eeprom says no radio is present, but the tuner type Feb 27 09:14:59 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tveeprom: tuner = Philips FQ1236A MK4 (idx = 92, type = 55) Feb 27 09:14:59 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tveeprom: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000) Feb 27 09:14:59 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tuner: chip found at addr 0xc2 i2c-bus ivtv i2c driver #1 Feb 27 09:14:59 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: ivtv: i2c attach [client=(tuner unset),ok] Feb 27 09:15:03 PIVOR-HDTV kernel: tuner: type set to 55 (Philips FQ1236A MK4) by ivtv i2c driver #1 And here is my modprobe.conf: # ivtv alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 ivtv alias char-major-81-1 ivtv alias char-major-81-2 bttv options ivtv ivtv_debug=1 ivtv_std=1,1 tuner=55,55 options cx25840 i2c_enable=1,1 debug=1 no_black_magic=1 cardtype=1 audiofmt=1 Any help would be appreciated.
