Are you referring to this device? http://www.crystalgraphics.com/presentations/VersaPointCommunicator.main.asp I bought one at Fry's a while back, plugged in the receiver dongle, and paired the keyboard and mouse with the receiver. Since then, it's Just Worked. You need CONFIG_USB_HID and CONFIG_USB_HIDINPUT enabled in your kernel. (I haven't tried doing anything with the presentation controller. Maybe you can use it as a simple remote.
