I copied all my drivers into an "orig" folder, so I wouldn't lose them, and then copied those binary drivers atop them. No joy. The Xserver now doesn't generate a TVout signal that the set will lock to. If I ctrl-alt-F1 to the framebuffer console, I'm ok.
