Hi, it's going to be a few days before I have a chance to try this out myself, so I figure I could ask ahead of time if someone ever tried this: Form what I've read, when using a DVB card, Myth writes the MPEG2 program stream to disk without touching it. I think, ElGato's DVB EyeTV devices work the same way and also allow to export the files for burning ith Toast.
The software for using EyeTV is freely downloadable. Shouldn't it be possible to use it to edit and burn files saved with MythTV? I know, there could be all kinds of caveats on the way, but did someone already try doing this? Because, if it works, it just might be the simplest solution for anyone with both a mythbox and an OS X machine. Jens
