I've recently bought an Archos Gmini 400, which looks as if it will be a
great complement to my mythtv system.

However, I'm having problems with audio syncronisation with files exported
to divx using Nuvexport. The Audio is ahead of the video by a second or 2
if I play the file in Winamp, or on the archos itself. The file plays
absolutely fine in Windows Media Player, or Mplayer.

I have tried various settings including the Nuvexport defaults for divx,
and some settings recommended in a previous post (cif format I recall)

I'd really like to use Nuvexport as I want to use cutlists to remove the
rubbish. Nuvexport is exporting to DVD quite happily these days, and
quickly, and I don't want to break that. BTW nuvexport is using ffmpeg. I
have also found a script on www.gmini400.com which exports using mencoder
and transcode, but at the moment that just garbles the video. I have been
trying to get nuv2avi to compile, and have noted the comments about
including the path to lame.h in the makefile, but I'm in stupid mode at
the moment, as I cannot get it to compile, but Nuvexport would be the
preferred option.

I think that ffmpeg may be exporting the audio using VBR, where as the
archos wants a constant bit rate, but I cannot find an option to force
ffmpeg.

Thanks in advance for any ideas and assistance.

Gary
