The 350's output is a hardware decoder for doing one thing, playing back mpeg (that it captures). It really doesn't support just decoding any and everything, and it's frame buffer is far slower than accelerated video cards. It is my understanding that playing HD content requires a normal video card output and cannot be done via a PVR-350. I've also heard issues of DVD playback being a problem on the '350's, but I don't know about that either. Again, no need, I have a separate dvd player... :) I could be wrong about the 350 and HD, but I'm pretty sure everyone doing HD has serious video acceleration stuff on their side, along with the CPU to back it up. What we really need is a pcHD3000 that has HD hardware decode (TVout) as well. That would rock! > > some point. True, and by then, everything should compile and run on the A64's too.. hehe. -Kenneth
