I have come across this site that upgrades certain satellite receivers with Firewire Ports. http://www.169time.com
Thing is that you have to run that signal through one of there AVX1 Processors in order for your PC to be able to record it.
That device converts the signal to a Firewire signal that a DVHS recorder can understand. It also say that it enables recording to hard Drives. Till the end of 2005 it also dumps the broadcast flag.
Does anyone here have experience integrating this in to MythTV. Do you think it would work with .17 with its new Firewire Recording capability?
