I imagine that you've tried connecting the tvout directly to your tv? If so, you should see the boot process on your tv.
If not, I don't know what could be the problem. If you see the boot process from that point, the problem comes from your receiver who's not see by your tvout. I don't understand correctly what is involved but I guess that an actual tv creates a impedance that is detected by the tvout...
