Try stopping and restarting your backend (without a reboot) and try out your Live TV. After moving to the 2.6 kernel the other day my ivtv drivers weren't getting loaded on boot - only once the backend was already up. So the tuners weren't getting configured right. I couldn't tune anything - though I was getting static, not a blank screen. If I stopped and restarted the backend, tuning would work.
