I think you're going to find that the Samsung can NOT do 1080i via the DVI 
interface.  Unless the newer models now support this - this is an unsupport 
resolution. :(

It is supported using the VGA interface - just not the DVI.

I'd be interested in knowing if your model does.  I have the HLN model.  The 
HLP (most recent) - may support it now - not sure.
