Does anyone know of a capture card that will capture the hd component output of a hd receiver directly? I know I can do it by firewire with the right hardware but I would prefer a flag-free solution if possible. Are any companies working on such a cap card?

Any such cards that might exist would be prohibitively expensive for the average consumer. It takes a lot of horsepower to encode HD in real time.
