After happily using MythTV for months, and v0.17 since almost the day it was released, today I ran into a new problem, the reason to which eludes me after a few hours of debugging: the EPG for my DVB-T channels is a couple of too early.
I don't know if this is related to installing the ATrpms updates (now mythtv-0.17-97.rhfc3.at), or the upcoming daylight savings time (next weekend in Finland along with the rest of EU), or some other factor, but a program which actually will start at 22:00 is marked in the EPG as starting at 20:00, and so forth. Obviously, this means no recordings contain what they should contain. Yesterday, things still were fine (but that EPG data could be a few days old, while I was still running an older ATrpms build of 0.17). Now, 2 hours is the difference between Finnish time and UTC, until DST kicks in (and then the difference will be +3 hours). What would sort of make sense is if the EPG data is sent in UTC time, and MythTV interprets it as local time - but then it breaking today is hard to explain. I've tried changing the HW system clock from UTC time to local time, running both mythbackend and mysqld with TZ=GMT in the environment, a few other hacks that I hoped would have had effect, but none have helped. Any ideas would be quite appreciated. Thanks! //osma
