thanks, it worked with mythcommflag --rebuild --video /path/to/movie. Although i have audio sync problems (another issue). I can build a perl/script to scan the database for indexed movies and build new ones for new arrivals and put that in cron, would that be a good idea or is that something that has been done already (i mean for movies in the separate directory, not recorded tv shows)? jondz
