I built an AMD64 mythtv system with 4x WinTV PVR250MCE cards. I used the Foxconn NF4UK8AA motherboard because it has 4x SATA connectors, 4x PCI slots and reasonably good reviews. I couldn't find a low priced nVidia PCI express card either so I went with the ATI Radeon X300. It is PCI express and DVI output. (My system won't run mythfrontend so I didn't want to spend a lot on the video card.) The OS is Gentoo. It all works fine for me.
Sorry I'm not doing HDTV so I don't know how much help this will be. On Fri, 25 Mar 2005 12:13:44 -0800 (PST), Paul B.
