I don't have this problem at all.

I have 2 frontends, 1 on the same box as the backend, 1 is remote. They both behave the same.
When the backend goes away I get a message that says "the backend has gone away" (!)
and then I press escape and go back to the list of recordings and it's reconnected and fine...

I am still running 0.16 though...

I'm pretty sure this is normal behavior. I wish the frontends were
robust enough that if the backend was to go down and come back up that
would would be able to reconnect. But I constantly have this same
issue on my xbox frontend.

Hi,

Every time the backend is shutdown, whether the box or the process was
manually restarted, the frontend won't be able to reconnect unless
it's restarted also.

It seems like normal behaviour. But I could have misconfigured something.

If it is normal behaviour, I was planning to setup a way to map one of
my remote's buttons to execute an X restart (ctrl-alt-bkpspace.)
Though, I have not been able to figure it how just yet.

Thanks!
