No experience with that lead but why not use the comp. out on the pundit?

Does anyone have any experience of the configuration of the Pundit-R with VGA->SCART output? I've made up the lead as per the instructions at http://ryoandr.free.fr/english.html but I can't get it working for the life of me. To add insult to injury the quality of the other channels is degraded when the lead is in too....grrr.
Configuration is patched fglrx drivers, 3.12 in a Debian testing system. Philips 34" PAL widescreen TV.
If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it!
