All,

  I have a USB Logitech Wingman Rumblepad and a USB Microsoft Sidewinder Pro.  When I use the Microsoft one with zSNES it's always detected the same.  What I mean by that is, when you run zsnes with a joystick plugged in it spits out a line that says how many axis, buttons, hats, and balls it has.  I can see the zsnes output when I run it from mythfrontend in the mythfrontend log file.  When I run zSNES from a command prompt with my Rumblepad plugged in it gives me this:

---- zSNES executed from the command prompt ----
$ /usr/local/bin/zsnes -cs -z -r 3 -m -j  "/games/MyGame.smc"
Hello the gui should now be off.

  Now, the weird thing happens when I run zSNES from mythfrontend with the same device still plugged in.  When I choose MyGame, it gives me this:

---- zSNES executed from mythfrontend ----
/usr/local/bin/zsnes -cs -z -r 3 -m -j  "/games/MyGame.smc"

  Notice the weirdness?  It totally changed all the device controls!  When I try to set up my rumblepad from a command prompt, and then use it in mythgame it doesn't work correctly.  I think it's due to this but I don't know how to fix it.  I used all the same switches in my command prompt run so it should be similar.  I thought maybe it was joystick navigation in myth conflicting with mythgame so I tried recompiling with the --disable-joystick-menu but it didn't help.  Could mythfrontend/mythgame be affecting how the joystick is detected in zSNES??

Thanks,
-Greg
