I can't speak for others, but...
I've been able to get XvMC functional on both a Quadro 900XGL and a GeForce 6800 GT/AGP using the Xine-HD app supplied by pcHDTV (http://www.pchdtv.com/downloads/xine-hd-0.8.tar.gz). HOWEVER, I've noticed that for whatever reason, I need to recompile the xine-libs each time I make a change to the nVidia drivers (as I did last night in going to the 7174 release). I've been having troubles using MythTV (see a prior post), so I can't test with that. But perhaps it too needs to be recompiled for any new nVidia release to use XvMC. Hopefully someone familiar with that part of Myth's code can respond...
