You may be misunderstanding how the sound capture works. With BT8x8 cards (which I'm assuming you have) the sound is captured by connecting the audio-out of the tuner card to the line-in of the sound cards and ensuring that the device is able to capture/record that sound in the mixer settings. If your's does that and it's working then you're already home and hosed!
The only time you can get away without a cable is if your BT8x8 card supports btaudio. Not many do but there are btaudio HOWTOs if your's does.
So is this a problem only with BT8x cards? If I purchase a PVR 150, I will be able to capture without having to connect the cable?
Has anyone ever been able to get bt8x cards to capture with btaudio?
