I have the same issues as well.. i had to disable it..
Thanks for the input. Even 0.17CVS with XV doesn't match the quality of 0.16 with XvMC on my system. There's a slight amount of "jitter" with the former.
I guess I'll stick with 0.16. I'm learning to live with the flashing OSD. :) The TV out quality is fantastic, and the system is very reliable.
