Anyway, to the original poster; you can find instructions on how to work
around the problem on FC3 (by downgrading Qt) in the archives:

It will be a while before the CVS version appears as a package for the
distributions; no reason to have Myth non-functional until then.

Proper way to handle this on Gentoo would probably be a patch against
source to fix the bug included in the emerge, but it seems like a
rare-enough problem not to bother with all that.
