Yes that is similar to how this would work. If you reply to a message it would be added the same way as if you clicked "post reply". If you were to send an email with a 'fresh' subject then you would have done the same thing as "new topic".
People who like the Mail List (Like Me) would never have to check the forum. I am not trying to push this on anyone. As I said, I came across this project trying to make my wife happy. She's happy and I thought I'd bring it to the attention of you guys and gals! Existing users who would prefer the forum would change their "Forum Subscriptions" option to stop receiving every message. I think the greatest feature would be that NEW users would have to enable the mail list feature if the wanted. Why do I feel this is a good Idea? Well 95% of posts from new users have been answered before. When a new user sign's on to the forum or can search as a guest. They'll be more likely to look for there answer here (forum which they kinda understand) then to search the archives. Or am I off base here?
