Since mythweb uses PHP to communicate with the backend, it shouldn't be much work to cut the relevant portions of mythweb out that sets up a session with the backend and then sends the delete command. You can then call that PHP script from the command-line and voila!

I originally went that route, but mythweb is not as straight forward as you might think. I know I can use perl, php, sh, whatever to script the record delete myself, but I just want to make sure that the only thing I need to do is remove the record from the recorded database.
