I too am interested in this.  My MoBo has a SPDIF connector, but it didnt come with a header.

I don't know how many slots you might have in your case, but generally
I've found it cheaper just to buy a new sound card with SPDIF out (like
the Turtle Beach Riviera for $25 at newegg) than to find, purchase, and
pay whatever shipping additional to get the header that may or may not work.
