The reason for this page is that I've just
finished a new grabber (WARNING: untested as yet). It is available
from that page.

The new grabber uses the Australian Community-based TV Guide data at
minnie.tuhs.org. More information is available at the page above.

Will - just want to say a BIG thank you from all us Aussies for doing this.

You really should thank Warren Toomey who runs the guide. My grabber just concatenates the data his system returns. And he has been *very* prompt in fixing any issues I've found.

Oh, Warren also set up this page today: http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/TVGuide/OverView
I've added that link off my page.

I'm going to give this a go 1st chance I get.

I should re-emphasise that I haven't tested this myself yet! I've eyeballed the XML, but not fed it into myth (housemates were using the box :). I suspect there may be some issues with XML quoting of apostrophes and ampersands - the XML generated is correct, but it isn't exactly normal to use ' as the quote string instead of '. Also some of their program descriptions are truncated. It is a problem in their data, not my grabber. I haven't gone through and fixed their data myself yet.

Cheers,

Will          :-}
