And to clarify one more level (since I find I didn't before), that *is* true if you're using frame-grabber cards instead of hardware-MPEG cards, since those do *not* capture audio, and Myth has to do it itself, though a sound card. Given the price of HMPEG cards these days, that solution is widely regarded as not worth bothering with, unless you're *really* short of cash, and have all the parts laying around.
