Yeah - there was an interaction between Qt 3.3.4 and Myth which was worked around in Myth 0.18. Even with that fixed, there is at least one bug in the current version of Myth that might cause this: If your XMLTV data doesn't have a timezone attached then it is interpreted as local time and no settings have any effect.
I have a patch that I'm currently trying to get committed to CVS which fixes this:

If your xmltv data has no timezone in its timestamps, then this might fix your problem.
