Try this one - it uses the current X display: http://www.karlrunge.com/x11vnc/
x11vnc allows one to remotely view and interact with real X displays (i.e. a display corresponding to a physical monitor, keyboard, and mouse) with any VNC viewer. In this way it plays the role for Unix/X11 that WinVNC plays for Windows. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Allan Risk Sent: Wednesday, 20 April 2005 11:05 AM To: Discussion about mythtv Subject: [mythtv-users] Re: VNC launches second mythfrontend > i noticed this too. i recently installed VNC hoping that i could > remotely create cutlists for the recordings i had. apparently this is > not the case. :( > i'll try creating a separate user for VNC as was suggested by Scott > and see if that works. > just out of curiousity, what are you using VNC for? > > andy I probably can't answer this well at this point. I planned to use the myth box without a monitor & keyboard. I'm just taking things one step at a time. I thought vnc would be a good feature and ran into this issue. I can use telnet for most things, but a GUI is nicer for some stuff. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
