I think I may have the answer to this. Did you modify the GUI x/y position and size? I found I needed to do that since I have a 1.6 XBox with the newest video chip, so overscan doesn't work for me. I needed to resize the MythTV screen to be smaller than the actual desktop size for it to fit right. Basically, you need to disable the XBox IR mouse emulation.
