I dont think i have ever seen drivers damage a > peice of hardware but is it possible? > Although it may sound silly, I've heard that powering off the machine for a couple minutes before powering on can clear up issues. Apparently some settings stay in the NVRAM and need a little bit to clear out. I've seen this proposed many times on the IVTV.
