I get about the same rate/hour with my PVR-350.
I just checked back on my recorded shows via Mythweb and a 1 hour (or close to) episode of "No Angels" is 2.3Gb.
I normally record on High quality at the moment as I tend to be getting the same few shows on a weekly basis and would prefer having them in better quality. I did have a couple of things recorded on the default settings but I've watched and since deleted them this weekend.
