Well you can, but it won't work as the signal won't be strong enough to drive the receivers.
Your only real solution is to fit a new LNB (the pickup that the disk focus's onto) that has multiple outputs (the most common ones in the UK have four outputs) and then run an extra cable from the new output to the second receiver.

Is it possible to split the coax satellite input to 2 different receiver boxes? I want to hookup 2 directv boxes to 2 separate tuners cards on the mythtv box, but I only have 1 satellite cable.
How can the signal be split? Does it needs a special splitter?
